St. Clair Shores Cultural Committee
Dave Rubello
was appointed to the committee in 2006
by the St. Clair Shores City Council. He
is secretary of the committee that works
to
foster awareness of cultural events for all residents of the city.
Optimist Club Of St. Clair Shores
Dave Rubello
has been an active member of the Optimist
Club for more than 10 years. He has served
as the volunteer group's president and
helped raise thousands of dollars to
grant as scholarships to local youths.
Here is a sampling of other ways he has
been involved in
serving the community through his Optimist
Club involvement:

Collect money along the Memorial
Day Parade route to help support the parade
fund

Volunteer with set up and security at numerous annual events, including
Halloween Night, the Ccity Fireworks, the City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, the Optimist Santa Station
and Train at the Selinsky-Green House, the Lac St. Clair Art Fair
and Lac St. Clair Tastefest at Blossom Heath

Assisted with Junior Golf Tournament

Helped annually with the Nine Mile Trash Cleanup

Promoted oratorical and essay contest for city youths

Assisted with and developed numerous Optimist Club Champions Banquet
event books

Helped with various fundraisers for the Optimist Club at Champlain's
Comedy Club and Shorecrest Lanes

Helped create the Secret Santa Bike Delivery to brighten the holidays
for disadvantaged and underprivileged youths in St. Clair Shores
Nautical Mile Merchants Association
Dave Rubello serves as the association's
St. Clair Shores Sentinel representative
and helps promote its endeavors and special
events such
as the annual Chili Cook Off, Venetian
Festival Night of Lights and Fireworks, and Fright Night and Pub
Crawl.
Nine Mile & Greater Mack Business Association
As the St.
Clair Shores Sentinel representative, Dave
Rubello helps promote endeavors and special
events for the association. Dave has volunteered
his time
on the association's Junefest and Paint
The Town children's art contest.
Harper Avenue Business Association (HABA)
As the association's
St. Clair Shores Sentinel representative,
Dave has helped to promote the HABA Business
Expo and the St. Clair Shores
Business Expo.
Metro East Chamber of Commerce
A member
since 1998, Dave Rubello currently serves
on the chamber's Board of Directors. The
chamber serves businesses in St. Clair
Shores,
the Grosse Pointes, Harper Woods, Fraser
and Roseville.
As a leader in the chamber, Dave has:

Attended various ribbon-cutting ceremonies and promotional events for
new businesses opening in St. Clair Shores

Helped promote Golf Outings and Dinner Auctions, Texas Hold 'Em Tournament
Fundraiser, and Nautical Mile and Gratiot Avenue Pub Crawl

Chaired and organized various Community Development meetings.

RESIDENCES
Lifelong Resident of St. Clair Shores
Dave Rubello has lived in the Shores his whole life, growing up on Trombly Street.
He has owned three other homes as an adult in the Shores one on Brys, another
on St. Gertrude and now his current home on Maison Street.
